Maryville Christian School is currently in our 11th year with a kindergarten through eighth grade school. We are members of the Association of Christian Schools International in addition to being fully recognized from the Illinois State Board of Education. We represent over forty area churches through MCS families currently in our program. We exist to partner with families through a biblically based education known for academic excellence to cultivate servant leaders for Christ.

Best of Maryville Art Show and Contest

MCS was very well represented at the local 12th Annual Maryville Art Show and Contest held on Sunday, March 15th. We had 71 projects entered in the show.  Our students brought home 5 Third Place ribbons, 4 Second Place ribbons, 2 First Place ribbons and 3 Best in Show awards. MCS took Best in Show in all three categories for the show.  We are blessed to have so many talented students here at MCS.  Congratulations to all our winners.

 
 


Young Author Winners

 32 students from MCS participated in young authors.  All of the students did a great job and we are very proud of them.  5 winners were chosen to represent MCS at the Madison County Young Authors Conference at Edwardsville High School on April 18th.  The winners that will represent MCS are Annie Hutton, Emma Karlas, Ava Bauer, Amy Muilenburg and Lorien Mills. MCS will host a young authors breakfast on April 19th for all MCS participants and their parents. Thank you to Mrs. Cross for sponsoring young authors at MCS.

 


MCS Annual Science Fair

On March 26th we held our annual Science Fair.  We had over 100 students enter projects in the fair.  Our students did an awesome job on all of their experiments.  On Friday, March 27th we opened up the science fair for parents and all of the other MCS students to come through and look at all of the experiments.  Thank you to all of the students and judges that participated and helped to make our Science Fair a success.

 
 


Continental Math Contest Winners

 This year our students once again took part in the nationwide Continental Math Contest by taking a series of math tests designed to really challange their problem solving and reasoning skills.   Our students did very well on these tests and we are proud of what they have accomplished.  Below are the 1st and 2nd place contest winners for each grade level here at MCS. Congratulations to all of our winners.
